Otherwise, to get started, we'll need some information about your inmate.

Choose the area code that you'd like for 's new number. For some customers, local calls are cheaper than long distance calls, so consider an area code local to their facility.

If Corrio Messaging does not work in your inmate's facility, we will refund the purchase.

The main contact is someone that they can leave messages for easily, even when their Corrio account balance is zero.

If you're the primary person adding credit to the account, you should be the main contact.

Inmates must make debit, prepaid, or prepaid collect calls to use their Corrio number. We are not able to pay for incoming calls from inmates.

The first time the inmate calls the number, it may not work. However, they should retry in about an hour and calls should then be working. This process may take longer outside of business hours.

Friends and family can call the inmate's number to leave them messages and listen to messages that the inmate has left for them.

The messages are one-to-one and private. Friends and family can only listen to messages that have been sent to the phone number they're calling from. People calling from other phones cannot listen to those same messages. This also means that people sharing a phone, can all listen to messages sent to that phone.

Anyone can send text messages to the inmate's phone number and the text messages will be read to them the next time they check their messages.
